January

 Welcome 2026!!

January was full of what our January's have been the last few years but we a lot less snow. Basketball for Emmy and Parker, volleyball tournaments, and mom and dad's anniversary. The kids are all thriving at school and I am very proud of all of them for having such a good attitude about school.

I enjoy see pictures of my kids on their schools instagram page.

While we were in Denver for a tournament with Addi (with just her parents) we found kind of a sketch seafood place. The decorations were very very odd, but her and Ty said that it was good food. I enjoyed my hamburger.

I was in a puzzle doing phase for most of the month. The kids would help every so often. Emmy was also chosen for student of the month! What to be a good student Em!

This was one of those you happen to be in the right place at the right time photos. It is unique when the sun creates a tiny rainbow like this in the sky.

Emmy and her friend Kia did the science fair! They created a bridge to see how many rocks it would hold. It held up to 15! The girls playing basketball during one of parker's halftimes.

Ty and I were going to be in separate places on our anniversary so spur of the moment on the Thursday before our anniversary I said lets go to little America for dinner and celebrate the day our family became a family. So this year we celebrated the day the Ty and Chelsie Jensen family was created 18 years ago.

Emmy has been looking forward to Biztown day for about entire year. She saw her older siblings do it and wanted super excited to be able to participate. She got the job of Zions Bank CEO. She was so proud to be working for her dads company. Dad went to biz town with her and said she was a great leader of the bank. She of course had to wear one of dads shirts!

Parker was also chosen to be student of the month in the fine arts department. He has really thrived being in the theatre department. It is fun to see him explore what excites him.

Sadly Lola passed away. It was full of lots of tears from everyone. Especially Addi. She found her in the hutch after school. It is hard to see pets pass away. Lola was a sweet little bunny. Death has a way of making it so we can just sit with others while they grieve. It was interesting to see how each person handled Addi's grief that day. We all took turns with her that day.

We set up a recruiting profile for volleyball to be looked at by different colleges. Within a couple days we had a few videos up and a few views. We surpassingly got a message from a coach and it was a coach from Pennsylvania. This school has a great Vet program, but the volleyball program is not so great. But it crazy to think that she could be going that far away. It will be interesting to see what else comes to be with this. Makes me sad to think that we entering this new chapter, but also know this is part of growing up.
