2019 highlights/review...
Dad: He was released from Young Men's in August and was called as the Gospel Doctrine teacher which he has never done. He made it through his first year as an area manager. He hired lots of new people for his team. He turned 36 and his hair is getting a little more grey every year. One of his favorite things was going to Disneyland twice with no kids, and also spending time in La Jolla. He still talks about that trip often. He was able to go on his week long 4 wheeling trip with his dad and brother in September. He is always everyones favorite and everyone loves when he gets home from work. He is the one that keeps us all happy most days.
Mom: She had a new's years goal of reading 150 books this year. She ended up reading 202 books. It was a neat experience reading all sorts of genres and also keeping a goal all year long. My goal for 2020 is to get to the temple every month. She was able to go to education week at BYU and wants to make that a yearly thing. She is getting busier now that the kids are all getting involved with different things. She still goes to book club once a month and is still serving in the Relief Society as the activities chairman. She loved all the different vacations this last year brought. She is the one that keeps everyone on track and fed.
Addi: She finished up her 2nd year of accelerated softball. She is getting more confident and also doesn't get as mad when she strikes out. She is starting her first year of club volleyball. She is starting to hang out with friends more and more and that is what she lives for. Us as her parents are leaving her to babysit more often. She is so responsible and is also very good at listening to our instructions.
Parker: Played two seasons of soccer this year and wants to try a dance class. Mom hasn't been able to find where one his for him quite yet. He got baptized this year which was a big deal for him. He is quite the whiz at math and is always willing to be a helper at school as well as at home. He loves to play the iPad and play games.
Emmy: She is in her last year of preschool and is so excited to start kindergarten next year. She is quite the dancer and loves to be the center of attention. She has quite the personality and is always so imaginative. She loves her dad and is always wanting him around her. She has learned how to spell her name and wants to go by Emmy. She still loves playing Barbies and pretend. She got stitches this year and was the first one out of our kids to get them.
Lyndin: She is way into makeup and is always getting into everyones wherever we are. She doesn't have an interest in being potty trained yet. She is also great at playing pretend and playing house. She is a trooper at running around with my while she does errands. She isn't taking as many naps anymore. Which makes mom sad because she isn't a baby anymore. She talks and talks and talks. She can speak so well and can tell you all sorts of things. She is our most shy one around new people.
As a family it was our first time to Arizona and to Idaho together. We tried to do an activities all through out the year and I think we did a great job at it. Ty and I had a conversation that maybe we aren't spending enough time with our kids and I was able to tell him but look at all the things we do together. We do spend time together and I hope one day our kids will look back and realize that mom and dad really did try to do lots of things together. 2020 will bring lots of firsts again into our family. I hope that our goal of making memories is something that we always do.
