May 21st is a day that we have been waiting for since about May 22nd last year. She was so excited to turn 5!! She woke up at 5:45 am and said "it's my birthday!!" We opened presents from mom and dad and then we headed to get donuts.
She wanted a donut tower for her "cake"
For dinner she at first told me she wanted ramen noodles, then I tried to get to think a bit more outside of the box. She chose chicken noodle soup instead. Nana and Amber came down for dinner and donuts. Nana gave her a snow cone machine and they all loved it.
I told her I had a surprise for her and that she needed to wait inside the house until I told her to come out. I had arranged a parade for her the night before. She came out and was so surprised. She said "it's a parade!! For me!!" We then met at the church parking lot for popsicles. It was a perfect way to do a birthday party.
May 21st was also the day she graduated preschool. We didn't do a big graduation because of Covid, but her teacher, Ms. Mckenna made sure to send us pictures. Emmy says she is so ready for Kindergarten now.

Emery Elizabeth,
Someone once described you as ALL CAP LOCKS ALL THE TIME! That fits you perfectly. You feel your emotions so strongly. Which is a good thing and a bad thing sometimes. You love to sing and are always coming up with new songs. Your imagination is still so amazing. You love to play barbies, and American dolls. You are a pro at riding without training wheels and you are getting pretty brave with the tricks you do on it. You love to dance and you tell me that you want to be a ballerina when you grow up. You are super thoughtful and love to make pictures for other people. The things you say still make us laugh most of the time. Your spunky personality it definitely our little family needs.
You still loves fruit especially strawberries, blueberries, and grapes. You love to ride your bike. You still need your dad to snuggle you at night and prefer him over me most of the time. You ask for snow cones almost every day. You love ramen noodles, french fries, toast, mashed potatoes, and most soups. Your favorite color is still pink. You love to watch all the princess disney movies. You still talk about going to Disneyland all the time. When at your dance recital you got the best stories award that is so you too! You are always talking and always telling us something. You still love to wear dresses most days and are getting quite creative with your other outfits. You have a memory that is a little crazy sometimes. The stories and experiences you remember blow me away. You still tell me that you miss Jesus and are ready for him to come back to see us.
We love having you in our family and I loved seeing you so excited on your birthday because it was all about you!! You said your favorite thing of the day was your birthday parade.
