We drove down to Sedona, Arizona the first week of June. Julia and her kids were going and so was Grandma Debbie. It took us 10 hours. We left at 5 in the morning, and didn't arrive in Sedona till 2 in the afternoon. Lyndin got a bit car sick on the way down and we had to pull over to clean that all up.
We did a lot of swimming and spent a lot of time outdoors. We tried a couple hikes and the little girls weren't the best and so we dogged out on a couple other hikes that others went on.
We went to the rock slide and had fun playing in the water there
We made it to the pool every single day. It made it nice that it was right outside our condo's door.
This hike was nice because it was mostly shaded. We didn't make it all the way to the top because we had been going for 2 hours already and so that meant we had another 2 hours out. We got out faster than we did in. Luckily we did because as soon as we got out, it started to rain.
We all took turns posing on this rock.

Once we got back we made it to the pool again.
This was the second hike we tried and it was just too hot for the little girls. Lyndin, Parker and I ended up turning back about half way through because Lyndin was not having it.
After this hike we went to the Red Rock Chapel. It was really neat to talk to Emmy about Jesus and what he did for us. She was asking a lot of questions about why he was up there, and what happened to him. It was a really special teaching moment for me with her.
Emmy and Lyndin are quite the pair in the pool when they have their floaties on. We didn't need to be in the pool with them because they had it all figured out.
One our nights out eating. The girls love being able to be outside and dance their little hearts out and play with all the statues. The weather was really warm down there which was a nice change because we have had such a wet and cold May.
The little girls loved playing with all of Bunt's makeup accessories. Doing makeup was a daily thing for them.
We had lot of baths while we were there because of all the swimming. We had to consolidate one night because we were trying to get out of there to head to dinner. Had to snap this picture of all of them in the tub.
We found a little park next to the place we were staying as well.
We happened to be there while it was national donut day and so we went and found a donut shop.
Instead of hiking with the others we went and found a short little hike down to a stream. The kids had a blast throwing rocks into the water.
We headed back for Utah on Saturday and on the way home we made a few stops to see the Grand Canyon. I haven't ever seen it and Ty hasn't seen since he was young. It is amazing to see how big it is. It almost looks fake as you look out across the valley.
We stopped at another ridge along the way too. This one had a look out tower and it was cool to climb almost to the top.
Before we jumped into the car for another 4 hour drive to St. George where we were going to stay the night with Jessica before finishing the drive on Sunday, we had to get our ice cream fix.
It was a really fun trip, but also one that we don't think we would drive to next time. It was fun to make memories as a family though.
