Disneyland

Oh Disneyland!!!! We have been waiting for this trip for a LONG time. We went with the Phillips again and all of us were counting down till the day we got to come back. Emmy hasn't been to disneyland since she was 6 months old and she absolutely loved it. She had so much fun on the airplane. And everyone would laugh at her as she pulled her suitcase and had her oversized back pack on.

This is when we landed in California.

My pictures did not upload in order of our trip, and I kind of uploaded a lot of pictures and re arrange them would take me forever so I will just split it up in the groups they uploaded in.

There is something so special about the Disney parades. They are so fun and full of music.

On Friday, (the day before we left) we spent the day at the beach. It was actually the coldest day of the week that day. It was pretty windy, but that didn't stop the kids from playing in the water and sand.

This was our crew `leaving the hotel.

This is the first day! We arrived Sunday and went to a zoo that was in close by. It wasn't anything to write home about. We went into the park on Monday. The lines were kind of longer than what we were used to and there was definitely more people, but that is probably what you get when you go the week of UEA. Everyone from Utah was probably there.

Emmy loved being in her princess dress and she also squealed when she saw the castle for the first time. She had fun meeting tinkerbell and that so happens to be her new favorite movie now.

She loved see all the characters around. The lines for them were usually long, but she seemed to be ok with just waving at them. Most of the time they would see her and wave back. We saw the beast, gaston, the evil queen, belle, and queen of hearts, all the main characters dressed up in halloween things, and also hook.

It was super hot that first day we were in the park, like 97 degrees hot. By nap time Emmy was done, hot, and tired. Waiting in the Haunted mansion line was quite the show for everyone around us i'm sure. Then she got her second wind and was fine.

She loved to ride the horses on the carousel.

On the way back to the hotel that afternoon Emmy finally fell asleep. But she fell asleep in a way unique way.

The next day we didn't go into the park until that afternoon because of the halloween party we were going to later that night. They shut down the park early and then you use your special ticket to stay. It was totally worth it because the lines were super duper short, there was trick or treating for the kids, and there was a way fun villain parade. The fireworks were also AMAZING!!

That morning we did a late breakfast/early lunch with the characters. All the kids had so much fun doing this. The characters are way more interactive at the meals because they come to your table and play with your kids. They also do a dance party. Emmy was in heaven. She kept saying to us..."I go give minnie a hug" and then she would toddle off to go find whomever.

We then went over to downtown disney and did a bit of shopping. We found emmy a queen crown and she squealed in delight when i showed it to her. She said "MY QUEEN!!! MY CROWN!!" and put it right on her head. Through out the day though she got a little tired of wearing it so Lyndi did.

Like I said we got to go into disneyland about 3:00 that afternoon and it was just too hot for the most of the kids to wear the costumes. So we just didn't worry about it and enjoyed the afternoon.

Lyndi was such good little baby on this trip. She would fall asleep when she was tired and then would be zonked out hard for at least an hour. This was that night at the halloween party.

The halloween parade was awesome! It started off with the headless horseman riding down the road. It was kind of eery when he rode by because it was so quiet.

After the horseman passed by Parker fell asleep in the stroller. He slept through the rest of the parade and also the fireworks. When he is tired he is tired!

On Wednesday we all dressed in our "Jack" clothes.

Emmy was so tired that she fell asleep eating her popcorn.

These two little cuties were absolute gems the whole trip!

We ate a couple of our dinner in our hotel room because we had them delivered to us. It actually made it really nice and the kids that it was awesome to have a picnic type dinner.

Lyndi dumped her snacks all over one day and she sat there like it was the most normal thing to have done.

On Thursday, we knew it was our last day in the park and so we kind of just hit all the smaller things around disney since we had done most of the rides. We actually spent alot of time in toon town playing around.

By Thursday everyone was pretty beat from the early mornings and late nights. Lyndi, Addi and Emmy all fell asleep at the same time. We actually called it an early night that night because it was getting pretty crowded and the kids were all pretty tired.

Highlights of favorite rides:

Dad: Pirates and Guardian of the Galaxy
Mom: Peter Pan and the Cars ride
Addi: Guardian of the Galaxy and Pirates
Parker: Splash Mountain and Haunted Mansion
Emmy: Pirates and the carousel. She came off the pirates ride singing yo-ho!
Lyndi: was great with any ride!
