February was a month that was spent being at home for the most part since little sister had joined the family. We did get out for Addi's birthday and then of course the kids had school, but we really took it easy. After Addi's birthday it seemed to set off the sick switch. It started with Parker and then it went to Emmy, then it went to dad, and then Addi. It has been one of the worst colds we have had. It lasts, and last, and lasts. As I am writing this it is the middle of March and we are still sick around here. But we will wait to write about that on March's update.
The kids were so excited to make Valentine's for their classes. It was kind of overwhelming trying to help both of them at the same time, but we soon learned what worked and what didn't. Parker was able to write his own name on all his, and Addi was able to address her's to her classmates by their names. I remember doing Valentines as a kid and how fun it was. The kids had a lot of fun doing theirs this year too.
The sun came out the week after Addi's birthday and melted all the snow. We were all eager to go out and enjoy the sunshine.
Emmy girl is at such fun age. She is a copy cat, and her personality is really starting to shine through. She is my girly girly and loves to wear dresses. She is starting to talk more and more. She can say ty, chelsie, addi, baby, outside, milk, blanket, thank you, night night, toys, mickey, pat pat.. and tries to mimic most words. But with her being close to 2 the tantrums are starting. That is always fun. We still laugh at her daily and the older kids still dote on her.
We have been doing a lot of this lately with Lyndi when we can. Can't get enough of those newborn snuggles.
