October

I really wish these fall months the weather would last a little longer.

We kicked off October with Emmy's first softball tournament. We didn't have super high expectations because they are such a new team, but these girls played great! They won runner up in the costumes.

We went out to Vernal that Sunday to spend time with Grandpa Larry because it was his birthday the end of September. It was fun to go spend time with them.

We had the UVU president's ball and went as representatives from the bank. It was a black tie event and so it was fun to dress up and enjoy a fancy dinner. I don't think we look too bad for being "old".

We had such a busy summer that we didn't have time to make it to Lagoon with our get out passes. We decided to skip church one day and spend that day at Lagoon. Sadly, Lyn got sick on the way up to Farmington. We thought she was just nervous about riding the rides, but we had gotten out of the car and she threw up on the sidewalk. Ty and I took turns sitting with her. Around lunch time she finally perked up a bit and went on rides with us.

She really didn't feel well. She laid down on my lap and took a 30 minute nap.

It is crazy to be in the stage we are in where we can let them go ride rides by themselves. They all went on puff the magic dragon and had lots of giggles.

Parker volunteered to help with the props for their schools drama competition. Their jr. high team took first place at the competition. He loved it!

I was at work one day and found a feather on the stairs. I have no idea how it got there, but I said a little hello to my angels.

We really wanted to go do something for fall break but we couldn't decide on anything. We decided to stay in town and just do things around here. I took the girls to get their nails done. Addi had never had a pedicure, but she said she would definitely get one of those again instead of getting her nails done.

Dad kind of started getting sick on Thursday night. Come Saturday he really wasn't doing well. I think he had covid... which stunk.

I had the hare brained idea to get in our Disney gear and pretend to go to Disneyland because that is where we really wanted to be. We even got our Disney backpacks on. We all took a trip to target dressed like this to pick out legos for one another.

Honestly it was really nice to hang out at home and have a quiet weekend.

Addi and Jordyn asked their dates to Sadie's with Gavin wearing the angel costume Addi put with her poster.

While we were away in Boston, Grandma took the kids to Thanksgiving point and they all had so much fun with the butterflies.

Ty and I missed Addi's playoff game but we watched online. They won and so they were heading to state! Ty was still in Boston when state started. Sadly we lost the second game of the day and we were out. We lost to the number 1 seeded team. That team ended up winning state. We actually played really well against them. There weren't many tears afterward because we really did play the best we could. Addi was definitely ready for some breathing room. It has been volleyball non stop since August. We ended up being ranked #7 in 5A. Big accomplishment.

It was then time for Halloween and Halloween parties. It started off with my work party of dressing like a book cover. Good ol Nancy Drew!

Then we had the ward trunk or treat and Addi and Gavin won the best couple award. Addi told me they were so embarrassed because they didn't know they were being judged and also they didn't really plan to dress up together. Gavin had answered her with a devils costume and so they decided to put their costumes to use at the party. They do look pretty cute though.

Addi made the honor roll! She and her dad work endlessly on her math homework. She does work hard for her grades.

Cute Tinkerbell and Wendy!

I never did get a picture of Parker because he just threw on a mask and headed out with friends.

Everyone was hanging out with friends on Halloween day and so it was just dad and myself with Lyndin. It was actually really strange to only have one kid with us.

Their candy haul! Emmy got a potato as one of her "treats"
