New England in the Fall was a must see! We went to Boston because Ty and Ben had a bankers conference. We went before the conference so we could do some sight seeing. We did a red eye flight there and thankfully the hotel let us check in early and we got 2 queen beds in our room. We all went up and took a 2 hour nap. We then hit the trail to do the freedom trail to see all the sights in Boston. The weather was absolutely perfect!
The next day we went up to Salem. Honestly we were all a little disappointed because everything has been so commercialized. We didn't do any of the "sites" because they all cost money and we didn't realize how early we had to get tickets. It was nice to spend time in the town and meander around. We found a candy shop and spent way too much money on candy/chocolate. When it got dark, the energy around the town definitely changed. Because we were there during the weekend before Halloween it was definitely really busy with people.
Our train rides were definitely eventful and fun. We took the train to Salem, Newburyport, and also out to the football game.
Newburyport was such a quiet little town. It was fun to see the beach even though it was a bit chilly. There were seashells, but the fun find was the sand dollar I found.
The view of Boston from seaport.
I have always wanted to go to an NFL game. It was a fun energy and it was fun that the Patriots won.
These are all the coins I found while there. It was so nice to have some adult time with Ty. We are grateful that the kids were safe with Grandma Shelly back in Utah.
