April Showers bring May flowers.
The first week of April was spring break for us. We took Addi dress shopping for prom. It was a place that we could rent the dresses. She was very pleasant and tried on multiple dresses. She was deciding between these two. You will see later on in pictures what one she finally picked.
During the break we took a little trip down to Ephriam to the malt shop to get a hamburger and drive around a bit. The temple they are building right by the college was really neat to see. Addi and Parker will be heading to FSY in July there in Ephraim. Ephraim is one of my favorite places to be because of all my college memories. That is also where Ty and I were when we first got married.
Author events are some of our favorite things to do. Especially when it is a kids author!
More volleyball!! This little team still has some things to work on, but they are fighters for sure!
More track! They won shirts instead of medals at this track meet!
Emmy's choir concert was disney themed. She was excited to wear her Minnie Mouse earrings. She had a solo and she did great!!!
Addi got her nails done for prom. She didn't mind it, but also didn't love it. After her nails grew out a bit, it drove her nuts and she wanted the gel polish off!
Dad's 42nd birthday!! He had no idea what I was getting him for his bday. It was a brand new meat smoker. He was very surprised! It is very nice and it will last us for a long while! He has made us some yummy food on it already.
On dad's birthday it was also Prom. Addi had a tournament that day, but we left early so she could come get ready. We had our neighbor help her with her hair, and she did her own makeup. She looked beautiful and you tell she felt beautiful. Bre and her family was out for the weekend and they got to be here when she left as well.
Gavin look super handsome and was a gentleman. I did feel bad for him because when he walked in there was about 15 of us at the door watching them. The girls had friends over, Bre and her family and then me and Ty. You could tell he was a bit embarrassed, but he still was all smiles. Addi said she had a blast and that she was glad she went with who she did.
After dinner, we came home and let Ty blow out some candles. We are grateful for him and all the birthdays we have gotten to celebrate with him. He is our favorite and holds this family together so well.
The 20th was easter and we got to go do a little easter egg hunt at Nana's. Her and grandpa hid over 100 eggs for our 4 kids to find. They all had so much fun.
Getting ready for a midnight release party at work.
The Young women came in clutch for Addi when she was ready for her nails to come over. They brought their nail files and got it off for her. We have some great girls in our ward that are always there to support one another.
Emmy has been waiting all year long for the 4th grade track meet. She did the 400, the 100, and the javelin throw. She was really hoping to win the 400 again like she did last year. She definitely won her heat by lots, but there were 2 more heats after her. We never did see what place she took because she wasn't in the top 3. She gave it all she had though and that is what we hope for. Is that our kids do their very best and that doesn't always mean winning. She took 1st in her heat in the 100 and made it to the semi finals. She did great in that race too but did not make it to the finals. After that we headed to chick-fil-a for some lunch. She slept really well that night.
We got Addi's dance pictures back too. The kids all looked so good!
The end of April, we had another track meet in orem. Addi placed 2nd in the high jump. She didn't do the long jump, or hurdles in this meet.
Post Malone concert with the Clegg's was so fun! We haven't been to a concert for a long time and he definitely put on a show! Even though Ty fell asleep, he still had fun too.
