Yellowstone

For Christmas Grandpa and Nana got the family a stay in Yellowstone. I haven't been to Yellowstone since I was in high school so it was fun to see it again.

We knew the drive was going to be long, but the kids handled it so great. We stopped before we got to Island Park and had dinner.

I knew the weather wasn't going to be great, but I didn't realize it was going to be down right COLD there. We had hoodies but we should have brought coats. Our side by side riding was a bit nippy and we all took warm showers once we got back home. The scenery was so pretty.

We got to see a mama moose and her baby.

We drove to the top of a really high mountain and were sitting inside of a cloud. We could not see anything really around us.

A lot of our time was just relaxing with family!

We did celebrate Father's Day up there. We are grateful for our dad and all the hard work he does. He gives the best snuggles, makes us all laugh, but most of all shows up when we need him.

We saw a bear just off the side of the road  on day one when we were driving into Yellowstone.

I don't think the family realized that we wouldn't have cell phone service in parts of Yellowstone. We all thought we were going to certain places, but it got confusing. We all ended up together, but it took so time. It was really cold at grand prismatic springs, but it was a really neat place! Lyndin and Emmy were with other family members and we didn't get pictures with them.

Most of us met up and we were able to see Old Faithful together.

We had fun see all the buffalo.

Once the storm had passed we went back to grand prismatic and hiked up behind it and saw a different view. So amazing that this is something natural from Mother Earth.

One the way home we stopped at the playhouse to watch back to the future. It was a funny funny play!

On the 2nd day in Yellowstone we sat in the car going no where for about 1.5 hours. Because there was a buffalo heard that was passing across the road. It made for a really really really long day because we didn't do much but drive.

On our last morning there, we took family pictures. Lyn was not having it and so we all decided to do a sad face picture. Making memories with the entire Jensen family was alot of fun! I wonder what our next adventure all together will be.

Sleeping on the way home!

The kids really are troopers. We were home for 4 days and turned around and drove another 5 hours to Idaho to head to Sun Valley.
