This year I swear we are making up for lost time from last summer. July is a go, go, go month with both the 4th of July and the 24th. We sure packed in a lot of fun this month. Literally had something to do quite often.
I saw on Facebook an ad for U-pick cherries in Payson. We invited some of the neighbors to come with us, and we picked 5 pounds worth. The kids loved climbing the ladders to get the "stash" of cherries. Addi loved being able to climb the trees to pick them too. 3 days later we took Grandma and dad with us to pick more and ended up with 6 pounds. We had given our 5 pounds to the Phillips because they came to stay one night with us on the 3rd and they loved the cherries so we of course had to go pick more.

Normally for the fourth of July we go to Vernal, but this year it fell on a Wednesday. We decided since it fell in the middle of the week we would just stay home. We didn't do a thing that day. Well we had the Phillips stay till about 11, but they we seriously just chilled the rest of the day. We ran to walmart to get some fire works and while we were there they kids of course had to find the toy section. They found these masks that were hilarious. Lyndin's was like the size of her whole body.
We got Mcdonald's and Costa Vida for dinner and then went over to the Warner's to light fireworks with them and some of their family.
Lynni loved the fireworks, when I snapped this picture, a firework was going off. She would close her eyes when they would go off.
Got to love those lazy mornings in your undies.. look at the pot belly, and once again we lost the cause with no nap and she fell asleep on the couch. Her new thing lately is when I call her Emery, she tells me.. my name is not Emery it is Emmy!!
That night we went and picked cherries with dad and grandma, grandma stayed the night so that we could go over to the spanish fork airport for a candy drop with the candy bomber. I peeked outside and saw this sight of the two of them doing origami.
The candy bomber's name is Gail and he flew over Germany after world war 2 to drop off relief supplies. He felt really bad for the children of Germany and with one of his relief drops, he added chocolate in there for the kids. That is how he received his nick hame of the candy bomber. He is originally from Tremonton, and makes trips around the state to do these candy drops. He is almost 98 years old. It kind of brought a tear to my eye thinking of how those children in germany must have felt when he did that for them. We are so blessed to live with many blessing and don't have to go without of things. We got to see some helicopters and also listen to some songs while we waited for the candy to be dropped. There was quite the crowd of people for this event.
Sunday's are more often than not, really quiet days for us and nothing to do. Which we secretly love. We went to the park after church and no one was there. Addi and dad played ball for a minute, then they all played tag. We then had fun on the merry go round. These summer days are what I live for.
Grandma Shelly had a talent show day at work. Her talent is twirling flags. She did this with a team in high school. It is a lost art, and she still has some killer skill. I remember her doing flag tricks for us while growing up.
Another cooking class picture!! Addi has had a lot of fun doing this every Thursday through the summer. She may not try the food they cook, but she is still learning the basics of cooking.
The Rebels made it to the local state softball tournament. There were teams from Salem, Springville, Mapleton, Spanish Fork, and couple from Ephraim. The girls lost their first game, and so they got bumped down to the loser bracket. They played another game that night and won. They played again the next day and if they were to keep winning they had to play 3 games in a row. We all were a little hesitant that they wouldn't make it through them. But they surprised us all by winning all 3 in a row. We even beat the team we first had lost to. Addi had some awesome hits, caught a fly ball, and threw a girl out on first. She has been mainly playing short stop. They played the next day and lost to that team, but we took 4th place!!! They got medals and Addi's face was priceless when she was receiving it. She had some major support from her family, which makes it even funner.

My roommate, Lauren from college had her baby shower for her sweet baby boy. This baby has been wanted for a long time and I know that her and Chase will be amazing parents. Her shower was down in Nephi and one of my best friends from high school lives just outside Levan. I called her up and asked if she wanted to meet for lunch. I haven't seen her in years, and we seriously picked up right where we left off. That is what a good friend is all about! (lexi on the left, lauren on the right)
On hot days we love getting a snow cone. We brought Hailey Defreeze with us this time!
Emmy went to Vernal with Grandma Shelly for uncle Kelvin's birthday. They went bowling and Emmy would even pick up the ball by herself. She loved having the one on one time with everyone.
Ever since we have moved the kids and I have gone out during the summer and spend a week there playing with friends and family. We went out on the 16th and came home on the 20th. We didn't have any set in stone plans and so every day we an adventure.
We played with papa's new puppies which Lyndin LOVED!!! She squeezed it and loved on it like no other. When I took him away she cried and cried. Addi fell in love with the little runt of the litter. She wanted to go see her everyday while we were there. She named her spot.
We love swinging at Grandma Debbie's!
We went to the Library with grandma Debbie and got to play around.
We went and watching Justin play softball one night and afterward we got Parker's haircut by Kelden and then met up with Grandma Cassi and papa for snow biz!
We went over to the Roosevelt swimming pool the the Phillip's crew. The water was not deep and it was so nice to just sit back and let them all swim. We took Kenadee over with us and they all slept so well that night from all the fun. Lyndi was a fish in the water and loved to lay on her tummy and kick like a frog around the water.
Summer nights are seriously the best!!
Before we left we wanted to go see Grandma Debbie at work out at the quarry. We rode her bus at least 5 times and then also took a quick peek at the dinosaurs.
We always love Vernal and the time spent there. We have good friend and family still out there that love us very much.
We got home friday night, and turned around and left Saturday morning for a long weekend in St. George. We went to the Tuachan play with Grandma Shelly on Saturday night, and then we went to Prince of Egypt with the Jensen's on Monday. We had no set in stone plans besides those two things and so we were able to just play around as well. Nana' had her birthday while we were down there and she was gracious enough to spend the day with us at the park and swimming with us. One of the biggest hits was the kids museum down there. We were there 2 hours and had to pull them away to go have lunch. They had so much fun with all the hands on things to do there and us not getting in the way of letting them play.
On our way out of town we stopped at Fiesta fun and rode go carts with the older kids, and then play arcade games. We then make the drive home. It was really nice to finally be home after 9 days of being on the go. But the kids traveled so well, and had so much fun. Time spent together is never time wasted. On the drive down I told Ty that I never want my kids to say that they never filled loved, or that we never spent time together.
We got home and almost 30 minutes later we are getting knocks on the door. Our neighbors were here to PLAY!!! They had missed us and gave us hugs. The Clegg girls are so fun to play with. They had a good dress up play date!
I love, love, love this saying. I want to get it put up in my house.
Emmy wanted to be my helped with vacuuming one morning. I couldn't pass up the help!
Lyndi's all time favorite show right now is The Greatest Showman. She will sing the first song... whoa...oooo.
She is also a LOVER of popsicles!
I love having my kids home for the summer. We were all sitting on the couch and it hit me that we were all together being nice and quiet. I had to snap a picture to document it. It does make me sad that school is starting so soon.
Kenadee had a softball tournament up in Riverton. We made the drive up to watch her and Emmy was so excited to get there. Once we got there she found her Grandma and then 10 minutes later fell asleep on her. So tender!
Grandpa Jensen was a gem and dug through lots of coke bottles to find these two or us. Even though my name is spelled wrong haha!
