Christmas with kids is almost just as fun as it was when you were a kid. I love seeing how excited they get.
Emmy loved sitting on the presents and also unwrapped a few of them. I had to do patch and repair alsmot daily. Good thing the presents were only out for about a week.
Cheese!
Christmas Eve, Grandma Shelly came down and we went to the matinee movie of Moana. It was a super cute movie and once we got home we had dinner and got the kids ready for bed. They all went to bed quite easily, but Emmy had a rough night and woke up quite a few times. Rosie, our elf brought the kids some new Christmas pj's so we had to take a quick picture. Aren't they so cute?
The older kids have been counting down the days till Santa would come and were up super early Christmas morning. Ty and I had a rough night with Emmy sleeping and so when they woke up at 5:30 we told them we needed to wait until 7. Right when 7 o'clock hit they were in our room telling us it was time to get up. We needed to go wake up Emmy and she surprisingly woke up pretty well. This was the first Christmas that Emmy could react to her presents. Last year she was only 7 months and could have cared less. This year she was all about her presents. We didn't get many pictures of the older kids because they were bouncing from present to present and wouldn't sit still for very long. Emmy on the other hand would open a present and want to play with it. We had to take her toys away so that she would open the rest of her presents.
Santa brought Addi a interactive watch, Parker got mini Thomas the train sets, and Emmy got a baby with some baby gear. They also got bath toys, a book, and candy in their stockings. Santa must know the kids well because they all got things they love.
Addi figuring out her watch with her dad. She was quite the whiz on it from the get go.
Emery LOVED her baby things. She got a baby that has blonde hair, blue eyes like her. She loved hauling the baby around all day.
The couch she got was a big hit with all the kids, but Emmy loved it from the get go as well. Once it got pulled out she lounged on it right away, and stayed there for quite a few minutes.

Ty got his smoker BBQ about a month ago, but I had to get him a couple other things so that he would have something to open up on Christmas. He got a electric razor, a new personalized wallet, a desk top calendar, a bank lego set, and a message. I got a new set of pots and pans which I am quite happy about because we have never had a matching set, or a nice set. A new door handle for our front door, a robot vacuum from my mom, a message that I bought for myself, and some slippers. I didn't take any pictures of my mom opening her presents, or the two of us opening ours. We were all content watching the kids play with their toys, and it didn't even cross our minds to focus on us.
We did make it to church that morning after a yummy breakfast of crepes that our dad cooked up. We also woke up to almost 6 inches of new snow and so dad had to drive us across the street to church because it would have taken him longer to shovel us a path. We then got home and chilled the rest of the afternoon. We had a delicious dinner of lobster, crab, shrimp, and mashed potatoes. It was a wonderful day celebrating the birth of Christ and enjoy the day with family.
We headed to Vernal the day after Christmas to spend time with Grandma Debbie, Grandpa Larry, and Cassi. It's sad to say, but I didn't take any pictures while we were there. It was nice to spend time in Vernal because we hadn't been there since September. We came home on the 31st and once we got home we went car shopping. We had our Dad home for almost 12 days straight and it was hard to see him go back to work. We all loved having him home and having the kids not have school. Now it's time to get back into a routine and prepare for little baby to arrive in about 7 weeks or less.
