May

The month of May was kind of quiet around our house. We were anticipating the arrival of the baby and so we kept it pretty low key. My 27th birthday was on the 8th and my mom celebrated her 49th bday on the 7th. Now that I am older we usually  celebrate both of our birthdays at the same time. Mom came up and we went to dinner and then had some ice cream with Ty's family. Mother's Day happened to be that same weekend too. We also kept that pretty low key by staying at home and relaxing.

We had so much rain in May. Which was so needed. Our grass was so green, and the kids loved to play in it. This was Addi impromptu hat/ umbrella. I love that she is comfortable with herself and does what she likes. It definitely gives us some good laughs sometimes.

This was a pictures that Parker got of my mom on her bday. We went down and surprised her at work. We took her to Arctic Circle to get an ice cream cone. We love our grandma shelly so much and are so grateful for her in our life.

This was on Mother's Day. What a sight to see. My 2 boys, one of them sleeping and the other loving the snuggle time.

This was another sight to see. I had walked over to get Addi from school on afternoon. On our way back home we hear her named called. These 3 girls are in Addi's class and they all gave each other a big hug like they hadn't seen each other in ages, when it had only been 10 minutes. They chatted the whole way to the corner and Addi asked if they all could come to our house. As a mom you want your children to have friends and be liked. This made my heart melt to see that she has friends and enjoys being around them.

For family time one night we went to the driving range and hit some golf balls. Addi loved it and is pretty coordinated, but Parker on the other hand didn't care for it. He instead would just grab the golf ball and throw it. That is how I golf too.

Once again my daughter being impromptu. She made this hat all by herself. It took lots of tape and she even added more leaves to it after I took the picture. She said it was so she could hide from ducks.

This boy LOVES spaghetti. You ask him what his favorite food is and he will tell you spaghetti. He will usually eat 2-3 helpings of it. And we usually have this for dinner once a week. Addi eats it pretty well too. If they eat it, hey i'm not complaining.

The kids have been loving playing with legos (duplos). I love seeing what kinds of things they decide to build. I haven't brought out the real legos yet because I don't know if I'm ready to clean up all those tiny pieces.

We got to have lunch with Addi one day at school. They were getting the feel of what it would be like when they are in first grade and get to eat lunch in the cafeteria. She was so excited, and she didn't even sit by us. She sat by her friends Gracie and Annie.

We have a great dad that is always up for a free pedicure.

Then Miss Emmy made her arrival. This is a picture of super dad carrying out all of our bags from the hospital. And also Emmy ready to be loaded into the car.

Addi loved having Emery home with us. Poor girl was starting to get sick when we came home so out came the hand sanitizer, and masks. It was a nasty upper respiratory virus. A nasty cough and fever hit Addi, Parker, and then me. We were so nervous Emery would catch it and she caught the cold part of it and had a yucky nose. Luckily it never went into her chest.
