For my birthday and Mother's Day Ty sent me to Sanibel Island, FL with Whitney. Neither of us have been there. It is definitely a place that I want to revisit.
We shelled, we rode bikes, ate lots of food, and talked and talked.
Seeing all the seashells was SO amazing. Lots and Lots of shells. It was so cool to see even more shells at low tide.
We saw manatees in a little river. They were huge!
These next few pictures were taken at 11:00 at night. The moon was so bright and the picture made it look like the sun. It was fun to be on the beach all by ourselves.
The sunsets were amazing every single night! The water is so warm like a bath. We never took a towel with us anywhere because we would dry off so quickly.
The above pictures were of the sunset. One side was pink and there was a storm on the other side. Beautiful!
We found SO many sand dollars on our last day before we left for home. You aren't supposed to take live shells, but we were rebels and took them anyways. We were pulling up sand
dollars like nobody's business. We pulled up 80 of them. We didn't have time to let them dry out so we googled how to dry them out. We bleached them and then put them in-between slices of bread to protect them on the trip home. Most of them came home unbroken!

Also on our last day while we were scooping up sand dollars we scooped up a live starfish! Whitney let out quite the yelp because we were not expecting that. We also saw a dolphin come within a 100 yards of us. We only saw the dorsal fin and it was dark gray. We thought it could be a shark. Then someone said look at the dolphin! He finally flipped his tail so we could tell it was a dolphin. He never did jump out of the water though.
