JULY

July always flies by every year for me. I don't know if it's the two holidays in one month, or we are just starting to get into enjoy summer and then wham school starts. As I am sitting down to write this post it is almost the end of August and school has already started. I don't know if that shows how busy we have been or not. We have seriously been on the go go go trying to enjoy every last bit of summer.

This cute little outfit has been worn by all three of my girls.

Addi had a tournament with her rec league team the 2nd week in July. They played their little hearts out, but they didn't place. They improved so much over the year. Addi had a lot of fun playing with them because it was so low key and she was one of the best players on the team. She had quite a few home runs.

This little one is getting quite the personality. This was her first time having a sloppy joe and I love the headband.

Summer nights playing with chalk in the road and the kids making their own houses and stores.

Playing in the sprinkler because July was HOT HOT HOT.

We were suppose to have a tournament in Spanish Fork July 12-13, but we didn't qualify for it. Coach Cory ended up finding a one day tournament up in Grantsville instead for the 13th. These little girls played their hearts out. They had 5 games straight and only lost one of the pool play games. We ended up winning the whole tournament!! Ohh it was so so fun to watch. Addi even got a home run in one of the games. They got big gold rings and also some money to go towards another tournament this fall. The girls smiles were 100 watt. So proud of them. They deserved a win like this.

My kids have been troopers this summer following Addi around to the ball games. We have learned what to bring and what not to bring to help entertain them. A lot of the time they go make their own fun. Like playing in the dirt/mud.

During a time out Addi (kneeling down) and Lexi were trying to catch a butterfly.

Championship pictures.

The kids one Sunday after church were wanting to go for a picnic, but it was over 100 degrees outside. I told them that we would do something fun after the sun went down. They kept asking me what we were going to do, and then I surprised them with playing at the park with the lights off and using glow sticks. They had so much fun!

Emmy and Lyndin's new game is to let Lyndin fly down the driveway in her car after Emmy gives her a push. They both laugh and laugh.

We had story/music time at the library.

We usually had friends over multiple times a week. Charolette and Lyndin got into the shampoo one day and luckily they had dumped it straight into the tub. But they had soap all over themselves so into the tub they went. I had heard them giggling and I sent Addi up to check it out. She tell me Mom... you better get up here.

Mean while the other kids were downstairs having a snack of strawberries and cream.

Park days..

For the bank Ty and some of our friends that work there too got tickets to the Bees game. It was fun to laugh and enjoy one another company.

Addi decided to go WAY out of her comfort zone and do a 2 week theatre camp with Camryn Clegg. They had to memorize lines and then at the end of the two weeks they preformed it for us. It was such a funny and cute play. She was pretty scared at first, but once it came time for the play she had a lot of confidence. She even forgot part of her lines on the 2nd time the preformed it, but she improvised it and was totally ok with messing up. HUGE deal! Usually she freezes up when she knows she messed up. Super proud of her for trying something new.

Emmy did the Spanish fork high school drill clinic along with the Van Dyke girls Emersyn and Averie. She had fun preforming in front of everyone and then she also got to be in the parade Saturday morning to help kick off Fiesta Days.

Lyndin saw that Emmy was pulling all theses poses and she decided to pull one herself.

After the performance we headed over the the rodeo. We have lived here 3 years and haven't gone down to the watch it. It was probably one of the best rodeos I've seen. We will definitely go back next year. The kids were all super entertained as well. Emmy lately has even been pretending to being a cowboy and asks all the time when we can go back.

Emmy in the parade the next morning. We then went over and did some of the kid activities at the library.

Vicki's birthday is on the 22nd and so after the parade we went up to Lehi and had a girls shopping day. It was fun to spend time together and enjoy one another's company.

Addi has been borrowing some of my dresses because she says some of hers are getting too short. (stinking growth spurt) I had her model some of the ones we picked out while shopping and they looked so cute on her. She is a string bean wearing a size 0. The little girls wanted to get in on the modeling their new dresses too.

On the 21st we got a knock on our door at 10:00 at night asking if we had a hose long enough to reach the church dumpster. There was a dumpster fire going on. We only had a small fire extinguisher and that wasn't going to cut it. It was quite the site to see firemen and police men over there. They think it was set off by kids putting hot fireworks in there.

We got tickets through the bank to go to the Days of 47 rodeo and it was nothing compared to Spanish Forks. It still made for a good date night.

Miss Em and her sleeping positions. She had my phone propped up against the door and was watching a show.

I loved these quotes and wanted to have them down where I could remember them.
